Fake Job Offer Warning Signs
Use this checklist to avoid fake job offers, payment traps and unsafe recruiter communication.

Payment demands are a major warning sign
Be careful if anyone asks for money for interview slots, offer letter, laptop, joining kit, uniform, background check, medical test, training seat or security deposit.
RozgarPlus job applications are free. Optional career support content is separate from hiring and does not guarantee selection.
Unclear company, agency or worksite details
A reliable job page should show hiring agency/source, worksite/company, salary, location, employment type, work mode, application method, closing date and job reference number.
Do not assume a third-party vacancy is official direct company recruitment unless the listing clearly says authorization is recorded.
Unsafe document and OTP requests
Do not share OTPs, UPI PIN, passwords, card numbers or remote screen access with recruiters. These are not required for job selection.
Share documents only through trusted channels after verifying the job and keep copies of communication for your own record.
What to do if something looks suspicious
Do not pay. Save screenshots, phone numbers and messages. Report the listing from the job detail page so RozgarPlus admin can review it.
For financial fraud or cybercrime, use official government reporting channels as soon as possible.
Frequently asked questions
Should I pay to get shortlisted?
No. Paying money cannot guarantee selection and is a common fake job warning sign.
What if a recruiter says the fee is refundable?
Treat refundable-fee claims carefully. Verify the employer and written policy before taking any action.
